Train

Trains offer the quickest link between Heathrow and central London. You can chose from the services below:

Heathrow Express

The express train between Terminals 2 & 3 to central London is Heathrow Express, non-stop in 15 minutes and just 6 minutes more from Terminal 5. Tickets would be available at heathrowexpress.com or from a ticket machine. Mobile or paper tickets are required to access ticket barriers.

TfL Rail

Heathrow Connect has been replaced by TfL Rail services between Terminals 2, 3, & 4 to London Paddington. You can purchase a point to point ticket at a ticket machine or pay as you go with Oyster, contactless and Zone 6 Travelcards.

Bus to airport

Frequent buses and coaches link Heathrow with destinations across Britain.

You can choose from coaches, local buses, hotel buses and are also eligible for bulk bookings if travelling in a group.

Airport taxi

London's famous black taxis stop at the ranks outside each Heathrow terminal. Drivers are fully licensed and have passed the Knowledge of London examination. All taxis operating at Heathrow have wheelchair access.

London Underground

Heathrow has three London Underground stations – one for Terminals 2 and 3 and one each at Terminal 4 and Terminal 5.

Heathrow Terminals 2 and 3 station is between the terminals, which are a few minutes' walk away via pedestrian subway. Heathrow Terminal 4 and Heathrow Terminal 5 underground stations are in the basements of the terminal buildings.

The single cash fare to central London (Zone 1) is £6.00. A one-day Travelcard, giving unlimited travel in Zones 1-6, costs £18.10 (Anytime) or £12.70 (off-peak).

Time taken from Central London to Heathrow Airport – 40 – 60 minutes

A1 buses that run between the city and airport at a 40 minute interval, 24 hours a day. It stops outside Arrivals at Terminals 1 and 2 and a single ticket costs AED 4. Travel time to the city is approximately 40 minutes according to traffic.
